“I learned very early in life that: ‘Without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain’t got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend – without a song.’ So I keep singing a song.” – Elvis Presley
About Us
The first commercially sold music record was created by Emile Berliner in the 1880s. Instruments and music had existed long before this, but this wasn’t just an instrument – it was a recording. Music now wasn’t limited to watching a band perform live, you could play it at home as much as you liked. Overtime, music record disks have evolved to fit more songs and be more affordable.
Today, we have music streaming platforms all over the internet, and devices in our pockets that can play any song imaginable in an instant. Before this, we had CDs and mixtapes. So why are music records not out of the picture? The answer is different for everyone. Some people prefer the sound quality, and others love the science behind it. For us, it’s the experience.
Playing music records has a ritualistic feel to it that enriches the experience. You’re pushed to listen to the whole record from start to finish, allowing you to really feel the music and appreciate the sounds.
GrooveID was created with a goal: to allow people to discover more about their music
